If you are new to therapy or new to virtual sessions, it is normal to have questions. Below are answers to the most common questions about working with Cassie and Cavier Therapy. If you do not see what you need, you are welcome to reach out.

Getting Started

  • The first step is to book a free 15-minute consultation. This gives you space to share what you are looking for and ask questions. If it feels like a fit, you will complete intake and consent forms and schedule your first session.

  • Yes, Cavier Therapy offers a free 15-minute consultation for new clients.

Services and Session Details

  • Cavier Therapy provides virtual therapy for individuals, couples, and families in New York State.

  • Sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes.

  • Frequency depends on your assessment and goals. Most clients begin with weekly sessions. More intensive work may be supported through bi-weekly sessions, while some clients prefer maintenance sessions every other week.

  • Cassie works with young adults through late adulthood.

  • Cassie uses an evidence-informed, culturally responsive approach and may integrate Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

Telehealth and Location Requirements

  • Yes, Cavier Therapy is a telehealth-only practice.

  • Yes. Clients must be physically located in New York State at the time of the session. Telehealth services are provided in compliance with New York State law.

  • Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You will also complete Telehealth Informed Consent as part of the intake process.

Insurance and Fees

  • Yes. Cavier Therapy accepts Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Highmark BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, Highmark BlueShield of Northeastern New York, Quest Behavioral Health, and most Medicaid plans. Insurance billing is processed through Headway. Copays and deductibles may apply based on your plan.

  • Sliding scale options may be available for private pay.

  • Private pay for individual therapy begins at $60, with the final rate discussed prior to services. Couples and family therapy are $100.

Scheduling

  • Yes. Appointments are available Monday through Friday until 8 PM ET.

  • Limited Saturday sessions from 12 PM to 4 PM ET may be available by request only.

Policies

  • A non-refundable $75 fee applies to sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice.

  • For confidentiality reasons, therapy is not provided through email, text messages, or social media. These channels are not secure for clinical communication. If you need to reach Cassie, please use the approved scheduling or intake platform, or email for administrative questions only.

Important Notes

  • No. Viewing this website does not establish a therapeutic relationship. Therapy begins only after completion of intake and signed consent forms.

  • If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or go to your nearest emergency room. Cavier Therapy does not provide emergency services through this website.
